About this member

The Department of Multimedia Systems and Technologies of the Educational and Science Institute of Information Technology is closely aligned with the scientific interests of the Media & Learning Association, particularly in areas such as Interactive Media, AR & VR in Education, and AI applications in Media and Higher Education. We warmly welcome proposals for joint collaborations, including participation in projects, applied research, staff mobility weeks, student exchange programmes, conferences, and other activities related to these fields. Our university is located in Kharkiv, the largest city in eastern Ukraine. With over 7,000 students enrolled in various bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate programmes, our university actively engages in international collaborations. As an accredited partner of Erasmus, we participate in numerous European scientific and educational projects, fostering strong international ties and innovation in education and research.

Lusófona University

The Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies (CICANT) results from the combined efforts of Lusófona University (Lisbon and Porto, Portugal) researchers in Communication Sciences. The centre is geared towards innovative and interdisciplinary research and promotes theoretical and applied research at the crossroads of media, society, literacies, arts, culture and technologies. CICANT has extensive research experience in the Media, Society and Literacies (MSL) area and hosts the MeLCi Lab – Media Literacy and Civic Cultures Laboratory. MelCi Lab’s primary mission is to aggregate researchers and the research done at CICANT in the field of media education and civic cultures, in connection with everyday life in today’s deep mediatised and digitised society.

Laurea University of Applied Sciences

Laurea University of Applied Sciences operates in Uusimaa region, Finland at six different campuses. There are about 9,900 students, 660 staff members and 34,700 alumni in our community. Laurea offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in both English and Finnish. In 2024, Laurea provided degrees in the following fields: Business Information Technology and Developing Services, Business Information Technology and Cyber Security, Business Management, Safety, Security, and Risk Management, Nursing, Social Services, Hospitality Management and Service Design, Service Innovation and Design, Global Health and Crisis Management, and Leading Transformational Change. We are part of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), an organisation that provide 45.00 students with a meaningful education. Our department provides the weblectures for students. We also run a studio (New Media Services) in which we record knowledge clips for teachers and support livestream webinars.
