The Hanze University of applied sciences is the oldest multisectoral university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. In 2023 it will celebrate its 225th anniversary. With branches in Groningen, Assen, Leeuwarden and Amsterdam, the university has approximately 30,000 students and 4,000 employees.

Since its launch in 2012, MITx’s core mission is to expand access to quality educational opportunities worldwide with creation of open, online, massive courses (MOOCs). These high quality MITx MOOCs are drawn from MIT classes and built by MIT faculty and course teams with the support of MITx. The MITx Media team is responsible for the integration of multimedia into the design and development of MOOCs.
LLInC is a major partner in the educational network of Leiden University. We coordinate innovation initiatives across the University, provide consultation, coaching and training for teachers and faculties, and advise at a central level. We focus on people and context. We develop learning experiences, applications, technologies, and methodologies, focused always on understanding, exploring and impacting root issues. Our expertise fosters collaboration within Leiden University and between (inter)national academic institutions, societal actors and the private & public sector. Our work is focused within our four themes: Digital Solutions for Education & Research, Learning Experiences, Lifelong Learning and Data & AI for Social Impact. These themes are areas of research, action, and opportunity. Our focus areas within each theme evolve and change over time as we identify new trends or implement and scale our innovations. Our goal is always to transfer our innovations into education and society. LLInC also runs the XR ERA community which aims to stimulate the sharing of XR knowledge and applications to enhance education and research in academia. The Media & Learning association is a partner of XR ERA.
With over 17,500 students we are one of the largest Universities of Applied Sciences in Flanders. At VIVES University College, you can go to five West Flemish cities (Bruges, Kortrijk, Ostend, Roeselare and Torhout) for on-campus and distance learning courses in biotechnology, healthcare, commercial sciences and business administration, industrial sciences and technology, education and social-pedagogical work.
