About this member

Laurea University of Applied Sciences operates in Uusimaa region, Finland at six different campuses. There are about 9,900 students, 660 staff members and 34,700 alumni in our community. Laurea offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in both English and Finnish. In 2024, Laurea provided degrees in the following fields: Business Information Technology and Developing Services, Business Information Technology and Cyber Security, Business Management, Safety, Security, and Risk Management, Nursing, Social Services, Hospitality Management and Service Design, Service Innovation and Design, Global Health and Crisis Management, and Leading Transformational Change. Laurea engages in research, development, and innovation across several areas, including entrepreneurship, pedagogy and co-creation, as well as digitalisation and information management in society. In 2024, the research programmes focused on coherent security, sustainable and versatile social and health care, and the service business and circular economy.

The University of Groningen was founded in 1614 and has over 6.000 fte staff and 36.000 students, spread over 11 faculties. It participates in various national and international projects aiming at innovating the use of multimedia in education. The university has so far published 14 MOOCs on the Futurelearn platform. Its facilities include professional broadcasting studios and a growing number of do-it-yourself studios. In addition, the Reality Center offers highly advanced Virtual Reality (VR) facilities for research and education.

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) is the largest University in Greece covering all disciplines. It comprises 10 faculties which consist of 40 schools and 1 single-School Faculty. AUTh constitutes a comprehensive institution with Faculties and Schools serving a vast array of scientific fields, ranging from natural and technological to social and health sciences, arts and humanities. The University aims to offer equal opportunities for learning, research and communication. It aspires to create an environment where education and research thrive, and subsequently, realise the vision for a better world with equal rights for everybody to claim the fruits of economic growth and social prosperity. The IT Center Center of AUTh is responsible for all network & computing infrastructure, the IT services of the university and the IT Helpdesk. Its activities cover the provisioning, maintenance, operations, upgrades and development of the IT resources. The IT Center has today more than 90 highly qualified employees.
